Two weeks ago, the Israeli publication Olam Katan featured Orot College’s new Jewish Thought academic program for high school students.
The program introduces students to higher-level learning before their army or national service and allows them to earn academic credit toward a future degree. Alongside academic study, the course focuses on values, identity, and meaningful discussions relevant to life in Israel today.
Students explored the teachings of Rabbi Kook and discussed contemporary issues including unity within the Jewish people, morality and values, and challenges facing Israeli society during this time of war and rebuilding.
